Book Club Report Final

Title of Book - The Chocolate War
Pages in the book - 263 I am now on page 263 I read all of the book until this week.
I understand about 75% of what I read.


1. Arche doesn't help to sell chocolate well. Arche give assignment to Jerry about refuse to sell chocolate for a while. Teacher Leon really embarrassed about Jerry's attitude. End of assignment, all of students know that Jerry was effected by Arche. Teacher Leon know about this, too. After that, Leon expect to Jerry about selling chocolate. However, Jerry feel like disgusted to Leon. Therefore, Jerry refuse Leon's asking again. Finally, Jerry become a hiro to all of students. Students become to deny chocolate and decrease amount of selling. Students don't afraid of Leon and Arche anymore. Finally, Leon and Arche are partner of protecting their power.

I finished the book, but I think it's getting more and more interesting. So, I don't regret to choose this book, I recomend student to choose this book. Because I think this book's content is step by step going to interesting, and the level is not too diffcult, many new vocablaries. It's good chanllenge to every Level 4 students. After read the book, base on how much perpent did you understand, you can build up your confidence on English reading. I like the book!

a) cowardly: not brave. always afraid of something.
b) smug: conceited, too much self-confidence.
c) furiously: very stong, too much angry.

This article is about French designer Yves Saint Laurent, it introduces about Yves Saint Laurent and his company. He died Sunday in Paris after a long illness. He was 71. His carrer that ran from 1957 to 2002. He changed the way women dress. He prefers woman need to be fashionable was pair of pants, a sweater and a raincoat. He was a master colorist, able to mix green, blue, rose and yellow in on outfit to achieve an effect that was artistic and never garish. His ready to wear label, Rive Gauche , which was sold to Gucci in 1999, still has boutiques around the world.

I think he was great. The world need fashion, the people fashion. He introduced women to peacoat and pant suits. He created so many new things. He gave people a lots of choices. The world changed colorful becasue of him. The world need this kind of person, like Yves Saint Laurent.
